I create video-based workshop lessons for DSLR (digital) photographers of all skill levels.

Are you tired of coming home after a fun day of taking photos, only to be disappointed in your images?

Do you see other people's photos and say, "why don't my images look that good?"

I know exactly how it feels to get discouraged or not be proud of my images.  I create video workshops that are focused on very specific skills that you can complete and start applying within 60 minutes.

As a first step, subscribe to my nature photography newsletter.  I provide a lot of free tips and information that will definitely help improve your photography.

"I am on a mission to teach photographers how to create amazing photos using any camera and debunk the myth that photographers need expensive gear to create world-class images".

Everyone starts at the beginning in photography, and even after years of practice, there is always more to learn.  It is one of the most rewarding things I can think of to create photographs that meet or exceed your expectations.  Based on teaching hundreds of in-person workshops and mentoring photographers from all over the world, I firmly believe that you have to master the proper technical skills in order to be able to consistently create the types of images that you have in your mind.

"Tim gives dozens of tips to create amazing flower photos in a short and very affordable video course. I like how Tim comes up with simple and inexpensive tools and techniques to improve photography—for example using aluminum foil as a reflector. He shows what’s possible using an iPhone camera and entry level gear all the way up to prosumer equipment.

Tim’s course on flowers helps people understand the key elements of beautiful photography, so by paying attention to Tim’s tips you can improve not only flower photography but also images of subjects. Tim uses clear language and explains terms so that beginners will understand. For experienced photographers, he provides some new twists to concepts you may not have thought of in a while.

Throughout the course Tim lists the tips for you, so you can’t miss them. The course bonus material is very helpful so you have all you need to recreate the types of images that Tim shows in the course. He also saves you time by showing how to get the images correct in the camera so you don’t have to spend time at the computer in post production.

You can’t go wrong making an investment of these type of courses that Tim offers. They save you time and money, offer dozens of creative options and inspire us to go create our own images. Learn, explore and have fun with Tim’s courses!" -Francis, Seattle, WA

If you own, or you are considering purchasing a tilt-shift lens to take your DLSR photography to the next level, then you know how expensive these lenses are.

For a small fraction of the cost of just one lens, you learn everything you need to know to leverage your investment in this video workshop and take your photography to a higher level.

I have been using large format cameras for over 30 years because of the infinite creative possibilities afforded me with camera movements and with tilt-shift lenses available for DSLR cameras today, many of the large format movements are now possible in the compact format of 35mm cameras.

The best part is that you can access the video workshop immediately and don't have to travel or incur any expenses to learn what you need to know.

Tilt-Shift lenses open up a new world for DSLR photographers because you are able to transform your photos in new ways that are otherwise not possible with regular lenses.

I create video workshop lessons focused on a single topic for a couple different reasons.  First, most of the photography courses today are very long, lengthy, and often expensive.  I suspect they do this for marketing reasons to make potential buyers feel like they are getting a lot of value for their money.

Based on my own research, I have found that photographers either don't want mass amounts of information all at once or it is overwhelming and this contributes to them being distracted and not completing the training.  Researchers claim that fewer than 10% of people actually read the entire book that they purchased.  I think this research applies to video-based learning too.

My approach is much different than the big company market-driven photography training.  I want photographers to be able to pick the topics and lessons that they need the most help with and not be forced to wade through a ton of fluffy material to learn the one or two key concepts they are after.

My video workshops are to the point, cover one key topic, and typically less than 30 minutes.  Plus, I am a "real" person that does this every day for a living.  I answer my emails and I am interested in helping you.  You will never be passed off to a "support person" or have to wade through 10 levels of menus via the phone to have a conversation.

My motivation is to help photographers reach their full potential and share in this journey with them.

Why is this a good approach?  People are busy and typically only have a small amount of time to learn new skills.  There is no way anyone could know what you are struggling with the most and want to learn at any given time.  I create individualized lessons on specific topics that help you master the new skill in a short amount of time.
