MY WILD HORSE SILVER GELATIN WORKFLOW
In this article, I share the technical details on making handmade wild horse fine art prints in the darkroom.
My process is entirely analog from beginning to end. I expose black and white film in my camera and develop it in my darkroom. Then I create each new handmade silver gelatin print using my Beseler/Heiland optical enlarging system and chemical-based workflow. I follow a strict and proven archival workflow to ensure your new artwork will last a lifetime.
No part of my process is outsourced to any other party, so you know it was made with my hands.
I have already shared the details for my black and white film choices and development processes with you in another article.
I also shared the Nikon F6 and D4S camera details and the budget-friendly lenses I use for my wild horse photography.
In this article, I share the details of how I make my black and white wild horse fine art prints using my Beseler 45VXL enlarger with the Heiland Splitgrade controller system. I use a 4x5 and 8x10 set of enlargers to create my silver gelatin prints.
I created a video on my YouTube Channel when I unpacked and set up the enlarger.
