Bring your large format camera (i.e, 4x5, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, etc.) and whatever film or large format medium you love to create some unique large format landscape and nature images that you will treasure for a lifetime. Tim has several large format cameras to include 4x5, 5x7, Whole Plate (6.5 x 8.5), 8x10 with 4x10 Pano Back, and 11x14 that he is happy to let you borrow and experience. You just need to bring your medium of choice.

Tim's large format in person workshops are unlike any other field workshops.  Tim has a mobile darkroom in his Sprinter Van where you get to develop your black and white film and make contact prints, right at the location!

If you are a color transparency film shooter vs. black and white film, no problem, Tim will help you develop your large format transparency film right there in the field too!

Depending on the group, we can even explore mediums like X-Ray film, Harman Direct Positive Paper, and even paper negatives.

Tim guides you through every step in the large format process to ensure you come away with images and prints that you will be proud of and treasure for a lifetime.

With hundreds of locations in the Ozark's to choose from, Tim will be your personal guide and help you explore this unique and stunning landscape through the eyes of a large format photographer.  Depending on the weather and other variables, Tim will select the best possible location for each workshop date.

We meet on Friday afternoon and camp at the first location and then visit our first location at sunset.  All camping fees and reservations for the workshop are handled for you.  You just need your camera, film, and supplies for the next two days and your camping gear.  You will receive an email with the specifics and a checklist to ensure you don't forget anything important.

Then we are up before sunrise on Saturday morning for our next adventure and then we head back to camp to develop the films from Friday night and Saturday morning.  While the film is drying we enjoy good conversation and a cold drink.  On Saturday afternoon and evening we make the large format silver gelatin contact prints using Tim's special split grade method in his mobile darkroom.  We gather for a hearty breakfast on Sunday morning and reflect and discuss any large format topic of choice along with a positive critique.  We try and wrap things up by no later than noon so you can get back on the road to home.

All paper, chemicals, and supplies for developing your film and prints are supplied.  If you elected to use color transparency film, Tim walks you through the process of developing your films with his mobile Jobo processing system and Tetenal chemicals that he provides for you.
